The Courtney Johns Memorial Scholarship was established in 1996 to support an endowment fund whose earnings would serve in perpetuity to assist young women with tuition at Marian High School.
Students who apply for the scholarship are expected to exhibit Courtney’s academic accomplishment, athletic participation, community involvement, & spirit and attitude. Financial need of the applicant is also a strong consideration. A Courtney Johns Scholar is selected every spring from eighth graders who have been accepted at MHS. It is renewable on a yearly basis provided the recipient maintains the academic requirement, participates in sports, and offers service to her community. Over 94 scholarships have been awarded to Marian students since the endowment was established. Your gift will continue to support young women for years to come. |
